Knowledge for Growth will once again attract more than 1300 participants from more than 550 life sciences companies and organizations.

We had a brief conversation with Bert Pauwels, Founder and Managing Director of Pauwels Consulting, about the participation of Pauwels Consulting and Vandycke & Partners in this event.

Bert, what exactly is Knowledge for Growth?

Bert: Knowledge for Growth is one of the largest European conferences in the field of life sciences.

It is organized by flanders.bio and attracts many high-level life sciences organizations and profiles. Company managers, top managers and other decision makers, for example, as well as investors, universities, research centers and policy makers.

Knowledge for Growth offers a varied program, providing insight into the latest developments within the life sciences industry. Furthermore, it is an ideal event for B2B partnering and a trade fair with more than 100 exhibitors.

“We have been a loyal member of flanders.bio for years and an avid fan of Knowledge for Growth since the very beginning.”

The conference is organized by flanders.bio. Can you tell us more about this organization?

Bert: Flanders.bio is a network organization representing the life sciences industry in Flanders. It is a dynamic, member-driven organization with more than 350 members from Belgium and from abroad.

Flanders.bio wants to create value by organizing network and training activities, supporting internationalization, providing services and building expertise. Of course, Knowledge for Growth is a very good example of this.

Pauwels Consulting is the Platinum Sponsor of Knowledge for Growth this year. Why is this event so important to Pauwels Consulting?

Bert: Pauwels Consulting focuses strongly on project sourcing, executive search, recruitment and selection and turnkey projects in the field of engineering, life sciences and IT.

We are active in many areas within life sciences, both in Belgium and abroad. Think, for example, of the pharma, biotech and medtech industries.

Needless to say, the life sciences industry is very close to our hearts. We have been a loyal member of flanders.bio for years and an avid fan of Knowledge for Growth since the very beginning. It is an honor and a pleasure to connect our name to this event.

Pauwels Consulting has been growing strongly for years now. What are your ambitions for the future when it comes to the life sciences industry?

Bert: At the moment, we are strongly committed to further internationalize and expand our services.

We have been active in Switzerland and France for years, and over the past few months we have strengthened this ambition with a new website for the French market and a dedicated French team. This way, we want to strengthen our position, particularly in Nord-Pas-de-Calais. We have also recruited a dedicated business manager for Switzerland.

Thanks to our recent acquisition of Vandycke & Partners, an established name in the field of executive search & selection for more than 30 years, we are now able to offer difficult top profiles for permanent positions within the life sciences industry as well.

The acquisition of Mediconsult, top name in the field of project sourcing within the life sciences sector, brought us a fantastic new team of recruiters and consultants.

Of course, international events such as Knowledge for Growth are also an ideal way to further strengthen our presence and our network and to attract new consultants.

Lastly, Bert, do you have a final message for our readers?

Bert: I do. I would like to encourage everyone to visit Knowledge for Growth. Do you want to get acquainted with our services or are you looking for a first job within Life Sciences or a new professional challenge?

Do not hesitate and come and visit us at booth 65 and 66 on May 17 during Knowledge for Growth. See you soon!

Thank you very much for this conversation, Bert. We wish you a very successful edition of Knowledge for Growth!
