Expert Security Architect – IT, OT & Critical Infrastructure Governance

Our client, a leading organization operating critical national infrastructure, is seeking an expert to translate strategic security directions into robust technical solutions. This role ensures architectural consistency, regulatory compliance, and effective security measures across integrated IT, OT, and cloud environments to guarantee business resilience.

• Design and formalize target security architectures by integrating Security by Design and Privacy by Design principles from project inception.
• Define security architecture standards and models for IT, OT, IoT, and ICAM domains in alignment with strategic organizational directions.
• Lead security intake processes and participate in architecture committees to ensure technical alignment with established target frameworks.
• Perform comprehensive technical risk assessments on infrastructures, industrial systems, and business applications like SAP.
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation measures to maintain a consolidated view of risks across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Draft and update technical security standards to ensure compliance with legal requirements and frameworks such as NIS2 and ISO 27001.
• Support project and business teams in integrating complex security requirements during design, solution analysis, and procurement phases.

• You have 10+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years focused on cybersecurity architecture and enterprise design.
• You possess 10+ years of expertise in cybersecurity supported by a higher education degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• You have proven experience in large, multi-stakeholder organizations managing hybrid environments across IT, cloud, network, and industrial OT/IoT landscapes.
• You bring recent experience working within organizations subject to NIS2 regulations and CyFun essential requirements.
• You have technical expertise in ICAM (IAM, PAM, IGA), SAP/ERP security, and IT/OT convergence strategies.
• You possess advanced knowledge of network architecture, Zero Trust principles, Cloud security, and Cryptography/PKI.
• You have experience with security detection and response capabilities, including SIEM, XDR/EDR, logging, and forensic readiness.
• You bring proficiency in architectural modeling using Archimate and ADOIT.
• You possess a valid CISSP certification, demonstrating deep expertise in information security governance.
• You are fluent in English (C2), and French or Dutch (C2) with at least B2 proficiency in the other national language (French or Dutch).

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with IEC 62443 standards for industrial automation and control systems.
• Experience conducting cybersecurity risk assessments based on ISO 27005.
• Possession of additional ISC2 certifications or other relevant security credentials.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into actionable security standards and mitigation measures.
• Solution-oriented mindset with strong stakeholder management and analytical skills.
