Network Security Engineer – F5 BIG-IP

Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is looking for a specialist to join their networking team. The role focuses on designing and implementing critical application delivery and security infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.

• Design load balancing and high-availability architectures for critical data center infrastructure.
• Implement application delivery and traffic management solutions using specialized networking platforms.
• Configure and administer virtual servers, pools, monitors, iRules, and SSL profiles.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates, including offloading, encryption configurations, and traffic inspection.
• Deploy Web Application Firewall policies and integrate access management with enterprise identity services.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex connectivity, application delivery, and performance issues.
• Execute lifecycle management including security patching, software upgrades, and infrastructure maintenance.

• 5+ years of experience with F5 BIG-IP solutions, including architecture design and implementation.
• 5+ years of expertise in IP Networks management within multi-site environments and data centers.
• Proven knowledge of IT security architectures and firewall technologies like Checkpoint and Palo Alto.
• You possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, ICT, or Telecommunications.
• You have a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to assess risks accurately.
• You're able to work independently and methodically in high-pressure situations.
• You're customer-oriented and possess excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
• You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
