Python Software Engineer – Big Data & AI Platform

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a software engineer to design and build frameworks for big data on a cloud platform. This role focuses on developing high-leverage products that support digital acceleration and artificial intelligence advancement within the organization.

• Design and implement complex requirements for large-scale software frameworks and data libraries.
• Develop and integrate AI code tools, agents, and plugins to enhance platform capabilities.
• Provide technical input on framework architecture and best practices for big data processing.
• Coordinate cross-team functional and technical dependencies to ensure seamless integration.
• Maintain and support the full suite of data services, including GDPR compliance and observability tools.
• Execute technical integration testing and perform peer code reviews to ensure high-quality software releases.

• You have 5+ years of experience in backend software development with Python and relevant design patterns.
• You bring strong expertise in AWS cloud services and architecture.
• You possess experience with big data processing frameworks such as Spark, Pandas, or Polars.
• You have knowledge of AI productivity tools like Claude code or GitHub Copilot.
• You bring experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, or Concourse.
• You possess experience with workflow scheduling using Airflow.
• You have strong skills in technical analysis, system design, and debugging.
• You're a proactive team player who is eager to learn and capable of mentoring others.
• You are fluent in English.

• Hands-on experience with supporting AI workloads in a cloud environment.
