Senior CISO – NIS2 Compliance & Cybersecurity Governance

Our client is seeking an experienced professional to lead the strategic implementation of a robust cybersecurity program. This role focuses on aligning organizational practices with modern compliance frameworks while managing governance, technical controls, and executive stakeholder reporting.

• Lead the full implementation lifecycle of a comprehensive cybersecurity program from gap analysis to roadmap development.
• Establish a robust security governance framework and advise executive leadership on cyber risk management.
• Implement necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure alignment with security standards and legislation.
• Develop and maintain internal security policies and set up incident response processes.
• Manage supply chain security measures and drive a culture of security awareness across the organization.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance departments to integrate security measures into business operations.

• You have 8+ years of experience in information security management.
• You bring 3+ years of experience operating at a CISO level.
• You possess demonstrated experience with NIS2, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 compliance frameworks.
• You have expertise in Cyber Risk Management, Security Governance Frameworks, and Policy Development.
• You bring 3+ years of experience with Security Architecture and technical control implementation.
• You're experienced in Board Reporting and executive stakeholder management.
• You hold at least one certification such as CISM, CISSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer.
• You are proactive and solution-oriented with strong stakeholder management skills.
• You are native in Dutch or French with active knowledge of English.
