Expert Solution Engineer – Agile Delivery & Java Cloud

Our client, a leading public sector organization, is looking for a hands-on expert to support a large-scale digital modernization program. This role combines technical solution engineering with agile delivery leadership to design and implement robust, cloud-native applications.

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of secure and robust IT solutions within a multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate and implement complex software solutions focusing on API development and microservices integration.
• Facilitate all agile sprint events including planning, refinements, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
• Develop and manage medium-to-long-term release calendars while accounting for external dependencies.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to formulate architectural recommendations and alternative solutions.
• Mentor team members by sharing expertise on new tools, practices, and sustainable software trends.
• Drive the transition of applications into production within hybrid cloud environments.

• 10+ years backend development with Java SE (including 5+ years with Java SE 10+).
• 10+ years experience in the design, definition, development, and integration of APIs and Microservices.
• 5+ years experience with Event-Driven Architecture, Event Sourcing, and Event Handling.
• 5+ years experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Master within greenfield and cloud-native projects.
• 5+ years experience implementing agile frameworks such as SAFe and LeSS.
• 5+ years software design experience focused on Cloud, APIs, Microservices, and Eventing.
• 3+ years experience using Azure DevOps for agile solution delivery management.
• You possess a degree in Informatics from a recognized European higher education institution.
• You're able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You are fluent in English, Dutch, and French.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Behavioral Driven Design (BDD) or Domain Driven Design (DDD).
• Knowledge of the Angular framework.
