Senior Full-Stack Developer – Java Spring Boot

Our client, a leading public sector organization focused on social welfare, is seeking an expert developer to drive a significant digital transformation. The role focuses on replacing legacy back-office systems with a modern, scalable platform to manage social benefits and citizen rights.

• Translate architectural requirements into detailed technical designs and functional software.
• Design, build, test, and maintain robust software solutions within a large-scale program.
• Implement automated testing as a standard part of the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with functional analysts to translate business backlog items into sprint-ready technical specifications.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure high-quality delivery within two-week sprint cycles.
• Support production releases and provide technical expertise during critical delivery windows.

• 8+ years of backend development experience using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate.
• 8+ years of experience with REST services and GIT version control systems.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud orchestration and containerization using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• 5+ years of experience working with Postgres or similar relational databases.
• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• 3+ years of experience working with message brokers such as ActiveMQ.
• 1+ years of experience with Maven and OpenAPI.
• You possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• You bring a collaborative mindset, capable of working independently and within a large, multidisciplinary Scrum team.
• You are active in French with a passive knowledge of Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with frontend development using Angular.
• Knowledge of Docker, OAuth2, and GitHub Copilot.
• Application of Domain Driven Design, Clean Code, and TDD principles.
• Familiarity with BPMN and CMMN standards.
• Experience working within social security or complex governmental institutions.
