Security Incident Response Expert – SOC & Vulnerability Management

Our client, a leading organization in the utility sector, is looking for a Security Incident Response Expert to join their specialized cyber operations team. The role focuses on the end-to-end management of security alerts and incidents while proactively handling vulnerability management and digital risk mitigation to ensure organizational resilience.

• Support and coordinate security incident handling across multiple lines of defense using established procedures.
• Optimize operational workflows between the internal SOC, IT service providers, and application teams.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of security incidents including detailed reporting and documentation.
• Escalate critical cyber incidents to the CSIRT and serve as the central point of contact during resolution.
• Execute security-related approvals within the change management process and monitor risk mitigation plans.
• Translate high-level security policies into practical operational procedures and work instructions.

• You possess a Master or Bachelor degree in a technical or engineering field.
• You have 1+ years of experience as a SOC Analyst.
• You bring 1+ years of experience with vulnerability management.
• You have 1+ years of experience with the MISP platform.
• You possess 1+ years of technical experience with Crowdstrike and Tenable.
• You bring proven technical knowledge of Windows and Linux servers.
• You possess a CCNA certification.
• You have a proactive approach to risk management and follow-up.
• You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• Possession of an Azure Network Fundamentals certificate.
• Experience with Jira for incident and task tracking.
