Expert Developer Architect – C++ & C#

Our client, a major player in the transport and infrastructure sector, is seeking an Expert Developer Architect to lead the technical evolution of mission-critical systems. The role involves defining technical architectures, modernizing legacy systems, and ensuring the reliability of real-time data distribution platforms within a complex ecosystem.

• Define and maintain application and integration architecture for critical infrastructure systems.
• Design and optimize real-time and mission-critical software solutions.
• Lead the modernization of legacy applications and reduce dependency on external vendors.
• Mentor development teams on technical best practices and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic business objectives.
• Ensure software quality, security, and compliance within a highly regulated environment.

• You have 15+ years of experience in software development and architecture with a Master’s degree in Computer Science.
• You bring 15+ years of experience in backend development using C, C++, and Qt.
• You possess 15+ years of expertise in SQL Server and advanced SQL syntax.
• You have 15+ years of experience working with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• You bring 5+ years of experience with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and ASP.NET.
• You possess 5+ years of experience with Azure, AWS, and Azure DevOps including CI/CD pipelines.
• You have 5+ years of experience with Python, PowerShell, and Bash scripting.
• You're experienced with middleware solutions such as MQ and Windows IPC.
• You're a proactive leader with strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex technical concepts.
• You are fluent in English (C2) and Dutch or French (C2) with at least basic knowledge (A2) of the second national language.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Kafka, MQTT, or Elasticsearch middleware.
• Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks such as Angular 18 or Blazor.
• Experience with Rust, LabVIEW, or Simulink for safety-critical development.
• Possession of AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals certifications.
• Familiarity with Anthropic AI frameworks and Claude Code.
