SAP BW/4HANA Consultant – Hybrid Data Platforms

Our client, a prominent organization in the utility and infrastructure sector, is evolving its hybrid data landscape by integrating SAP-oriented systems with modern cloud platforms. The project focuses on maintaining and advancing a complex SAP BW/4HANA environment while supporting a phased transition toward a decentralized data ecosystem. A consultant is needed to bridge technical development with business needs across corporate domains like Finance, HR, and Supply Chain.

• Manage and further evolve the existing SAP BW/4HANA environment to support business-critical reporting and analytics.
• Participate in project-based initiatives related to the integration and transition into a hybrid data and information landscape.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders in Finance, HR, and Supply Chain to translate requirements into technical data products.
• Lead and mentor a team of specialists to ensure high-quality delivery and consistency within the domain structure.
• Execute maintenance tasks and provide support for established data-driven decision-making systems.
• Coordinate with data engineers, cloud specialists, and BI profiles to align SAP-data processing with cloud platform evolutions.

• 5+ years of experience as a SAP BW or BI Consultant within complex enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of expertise in data modeling within SAP BW-on-HANA, BW/4HANA, or SAP HANA contexts.
• You possess proven experience in leading and guiding teams of technical specialists.
• You have extensive experience with reporting tools, specifically Analysis for Office.
• You bring advanced knowledge of SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud.
• You're experienced with HANA Calculation Views and star modeling techniques.
• You have a functional understanding of ABAP for BW, particularly in debugging and reading routines.
• You're familiar with requirements analysis and structured project methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• You possess strong communication skills and are capable of acting as a bridge between IT and business stakeholders.
• You are fluent in Dutch with a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Azure Databricks or similar cloud data processing platforms.
• Knowledge of Power BI as a central reporting and visualization tool.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL scripts.
• Demonstrable experience within corporate business domains such as Finance, HR, or Supply Chain.
