Senior Application Architect – iOS Mobile Solutions

Our client, a leading European bank-insurance group, is seeking a technical leader to drive the evolution of their flagship mobile platforms. This role focuses on defining the architectural direction for native mobile applications while mentoring a high-performing engineering team to ensure scalability, security, and performance.

• Take ownership of the technical direction and long-term architectural roadmap for the iOS platform.
• Design and implement complex, high-impact features and modular frameworks to enhance application stability.
• Lead architectural decisions regarding modularization, scalability, and security alignment.
• Establish and maintain high coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines across the development lifecycle.
• Coach and mentor developers through in-depth code and architecture reviews to foster professional growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Android developers and UX designers, to deliver integrated end-to-end solutions.

• 8+ years of professional mobile development experience with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, iOS SDK, and Xcode.
• 8+ years of experience with MVVM, Coordinator patterns, dependency injection, and modular application architectures.
• You bring expert knowledge of networking and data integration using URLSession, Codable, and async/await.
• You possess extensive experience with Swift Package Manager and managing the iOS release and App Store delivery process.
• You have a strong understanding of mobile security practices such as SSL pinning and implementing iOS accessibility APIs.
• You have proficiency in collaborative development workflows using Git, GitHub, BitBucket, and CI/CD pipelines.
• You have professional experience working within Agile environments and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• You possess strong leadership and coaching abilities with a focus on clear and convincing communication.
• You are proactive, analytical, and process-driven with a focus on long-term sustainability.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Android development concepts and shared mobile principles.
• Experience with Apple OS X system management.
