Python Developer – FastAPI & AsyncIO

Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is looking for a developer to architect and maintain resilient software solutions. The role focuses on evolving an internal monitoring platform and alerting engines to ensure the health of live applications. This position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative development community dedicated to critical infrastructure.

• Contribute to the development and optimization of Python-based software applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor developers and conduct code reviews to ensure high technical standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within backend services.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of the architectural solutions.

• You have 5+ years of experience in software development.
• You bring 3+ years of experience working with Python, FastAPI, and Pydantic.
• You possess experience with AsyncIO, RabbitMQ, and event-driven systems.
• You have knowledge of SQL databases including MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
• You possess familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Selenium.
• You have a strong understanding of IT security requirements and service-based architectures.
• You bring experience working with legacy code and participating in refactoring initiatives.
• You're proactive and possess strong mentorship and technical leadership skills.
• You are fluent in English with a good level of Dutch and/or French.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Azure cloud.
• Knowledge of NoSQL solutions.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of German.
