Java Developer – Enterprise Cloud & Web Applications

Our client, a prominent organization based in Brugge, is seeking a committed developer to join their dynamic team. The role involves managing and evolving a diverse landscape of applications within a cloud-native environment across various functional domains.

• Develop and maintain robust applications using Java and the Spring framework ecosystem.
• Design and implement efficient data persistence layers with Hibernate, JDBC, and SQL.
• Create and refine responsive user interfaces utilizing JSF, JQuery, and Primefaces.
• Manage application lifecycles using GitHub, Docker, and RabbitMQ within an Azure Cloud environment.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges across a variety of both legacy and modern systems.
• Collaborate with the team to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure long-term stability of the project.

• You bring 3+ years of experience in backend development with Java 8 (or higher) and SQL.
• You have 3+ years of experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Web Flow, and Spring Data.
• You possess solid experience with Hibernate and JDBC.
• You have experience in frontend development using JSF, JQuery, and Primefaces.
• You bring hands-on experience with GitHub, Docker, RabbitMQ, and Azure Cloud.
• You are proactive, solution-oriented, and demonstrate strong perseverance when handling complex systems.
• You are communicative and value knowledge sharing within a multidisciplinary team.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Maven, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Knowledge of Scrum or Agile methodologies.
• Functional domain knowledge of payroll or HR processes.
• Willingness to obtain the AZ 900 certification.
