Data Modeler – Non-Financial Risk & Compliance

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services sector, is seeking a professional to shape and govern the data foundations of their risk landscape. This role focuses on translating complex risk management concepts into sustainable conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support reporting and advanced analytics.

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for the non-financial risk domain.
• Develop canonical models for core concepts including risks, controls, incidents, and key risk indicators.
• Facilitate modeling workshops with business and technical stakeholders to define clear and reusable data structures.
• Support data governance initiatives by defining ownership, metadata, lineage, and traceability.
• Ensure data models align with governance standards, quality requirements, and regulatory expectations.
• Monitor and control the functional design of business applications while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
• Define best practices and testing approaches for new developments and functional changes.

• You have 5+ years of experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
• You possess expertise in data management, including governance, master data, and metadata.
• You bring a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and analytical thinking.
• You have experience in business and risk analysis within complex environments.
• You're proficient in creating functional documentation and monitoring data designs.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in Non-Financial Risk domains such as Operational Risk, Compliance, or IT Risk.
• Familiarity with governance platforms such as Collibra.
• Knowledge of data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based analytics environments.
• Background in banking, insurance, or regulatory reporting.
