Senior Functional Analyst – Transport Execution & Workforce Management

Our client, a leading organization in the transport sector, is looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to drive the optimization of transport execution management systems. This role focuses on analyzing business processes and designing IT solutions for workforce planning and competency management within a cloud-based ecosystem.

• Facilitate requirement elicitation workshops with stakeholders to prioritize and structure business needs.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and actionable documentation.
• Define API specifications using Swagger and create sequence diagrams to validate system interactions.
• Analyze and streamline complex business processes using BPMN to enhance operational efficiency.
• Design acceptance criteria and support quality assurance processes including user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and architects within a SAFe or Scrum framework.

• You have 10+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst.
• You possess 8+ years of expertise in business process modeling using BPMN, UML, or sequence diagrams.
• You bring advanced experience in requirements engineering including stakeholder management and workshop facilitation.
• You have strong technical skills in data analysis and integration using SQL, JSON, and RESTful APIs.
• You possess experience working with documentation and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• You have a background in Agile methodologies, specifically SAFe or Scrum.
• You possess experience in quality assurance, including defining test cases and managing UAT.
• You're proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable managing ambiguity in iterative environments.
• You are fluent in English with C2 level in either French or Dutch and proficiency in the other.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Azure, Cosmos DB, and .NET environments.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Selenium or NUnit.
• Previous experience in the public transport industry.
• Basic understanding of UI/UX design and frontend concepts.
• Formal certification or formation in functional analysis.
