Release Manager – Digital Platform Transformation

Our client, a key player in the energy sector, is looking for an expert to govern and safeguard the end-to-end release process for a large-scale platform modernization program. This role focuses on orchestrating deliveries from multiple vendors to ensure consistent, reliable, and risk-controlled deployments that maintain business continuity.

• Orchestrate and govern the end-to-end release process across multi-vendor programs and interdependent project teams.
• Define and enforce a release management framework including quality gates, approval processes, and entry/exit criteria.
• Maintain a consolidated release calendar and manage cross-team dependencies to ensure realistic delivery timelines.
• Conduct release impact and risk assessments to identify functional, technical, and operational conflicts.
• Promote standardized CI/CD strategies and ensure automated testing is embedded within the delivery pipelines.
• Facilitate release boards and provide transparent reporting on planning, status, and risks to program governance bodies.
• Monitor pipeline performance and drive continuous improvement through release automation and shift-left practices.

• You have 5+ years of experience in Release Management within complex environments.
• You bring 3+ years of experience within a testing context.
• You possess 2+ years of experience in multi-stakeholder release coordination involving multiple teams.
• You have 2+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
• You have experience setting up and improving release management processes, governance, and risk management.
• You're proficient in translating release strategies into operational impact.
• You bring experience using ITSM tools such as Topdesk.
• You have advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• You possess a proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to challenge release readiness.
• You are fluent in English (C1) and either Dutch or French (C1), with a B2 level in the other national language (Dutch or French).

Nice to Haves

• Experience within the Belgian energy market.
• ITIL V4.0 Foundation certification or higher.
• ISTQB Foundation certification.
• Specific experience with Topdesk.
