Senior AI Engineer – Agentic AI & Enterprise Automation

Our client, a prominent organization in the insurance sector, is developing advanced agentic AI solutions to automate and orchestrate core operational workflows. This role focuses on providing technical leadership and hands-on engineering to deliver production-ready, scalable AI frameworks within a collaborative co-creation model.

• Develop agentic workflows and multi-agent systems focusing on orchestration, function calling, and tool integrations.
• Implement advanced retrieval patterns such as RAG and vector search within enterprise production environments.
• Design reusable architectural building blocks and integration patterns for legacy systems and multi-cloud environments.
• Manage the end-to-end AI lifecycle including LLMOps, model registries, observability, and tracing.
• Establish engineering guidelines and blueprints for prompts, evaluation standards, and agentic workflows.
• Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and the EU AI Act through security and auditability by design.

• 8+ years of engineering experience with a focus on AI, automation, and delivering production-level software solutions.
• Advanced experience with cloud platforms including Azure and AWS.
• You possess deep knowledge of AI patterns such as RAG, vector search, and single- or multi-agent orchestration.
• You bring expertise in LLMOps and FMOps, including versioning, experiment tracking, and model hosting.
• You have experience with CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and end-to-end monitoring for AI systems.
• You're comfortable navigating legacy system integrations and hybrid cloud landscapes.
• You have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or equivalent practical experience.
• You are proactive and solution-oriented with a demonstrated ability to take technical leadership in complex environments.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with agentic AI frameworks or workflow-based automation solutions.
• Knowledge of the EU AI Act and regulatory requirements in the financial or insurance sectors.
• Previous experience working in strategic co-creation or co-delivery partnership models.
