Azure Cloud Integration Engineer

Our client, a leading professional organization focused on digital infrastructure, is looking for an Azure Cloud Integration Engineer to join their technology team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between software delivery and reliable infrastructure, taking ownership of scalable and secure cloud solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a medior or senior professional who thrives on building and optimizing complex integration environments.

In this hands-on operational role, you will act as the right-hand to the integration architect, collaborating closely with delivery teams to translate architectural decisions into actionable solutions. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of cloud components, from implementation to continuous monitoring.

• Design and monitor Azure cloud blueprints while ensuring governance, security, and compliance.
• Develop automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments.
• Implement and manage APIs and Azure API Management (APIM) to support robust system integrations.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions to streamline software delivery.
• Advise on best practices for scalability, high availability, and cost optimization within the cloud ecosystem.
• Evaluate and integrate new Azure services and technologies in line with the organization's cloud strategy.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and document design principles and technical guidelines.

• Higher degree in Computer Science or similar work experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience within the Azure ecosystem.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM) and API design.
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions.
• Deep understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and affinity with software development.
• Strong communicative skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• A proactive "builder" mentality and a commitment to lifelong learning.
• You are fluent in Dutch.
• A certification as an Azure Administrator Associate is a plus.
