Functional Analyst – Transport Execution & Cloud Solutions

Our client, a major player in the transportation sector, is seeking an analytical professional to join their transport execution management domain. The project involves optimizing business processes for mobile applications and cloud backends while ensuring seamless integration with legacy systems and workforce planning solutions.

• Facilitate requirement elicitation workshops with stakeholders to prioritize business needs and define actionable technical specifications.
• Analyze and streamline business processes to enhance efficiency using modeling techniques.
• Create comprehensive documentation including API specifications with Swagger and system interactions through sequence diagrams.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure technical solutions align with organizational goals within a multicultural environment.
• Support quality assurance by defining test cases, overseeing UAT, and managing resulting change requests.
• Drive continuous improvement by contributing to lean delivery processes and ensuring full scope coverage throughout the software development lifecycle.

• 5+ years of experience as a Functional or Business Analyst.
• Proven experience working with the Azure platform, including Cosmos DB and JSON.
• Strong expertise in data and integration using SQL and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in business process modeling and design using BPMN, UML, and sequence diagrams.
• Practical experience utilizing Jira and Confluence for project documentation and tracking.
• Solid understanding of Agile frameworks such as SAFe or Scrum.
• Familiarity with testing and quality practices including TDD and automated frameworks like Selenium or NUnit.
• You possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Science, or Engineering.
• You're a proactive, collaborative team player with strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• You are fluent in English with C2 level in either French or Dutch and at least B1 level in the other.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in the public transport industry.
• Basic knowledge of UI/UX design and frontend concepts.
• Experience in change management and release planning.
• Formal certification in functional analysis.

• Working model: Hybrid (minimum 2 days onsite).
