R&D Scientist

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical organization, is seeking a Scientist to serve as a Project Owner within their advanced analytical development department. The role focuses on designing and coordinating experiments for the quantification of nitrosamine impurities across various pharmaceutical matrices and products.

• Design and coordinate the development of analytical methods for N-Nitrosamine quantification following regulatory standards.
• Review technical protocols and reports from both internal and external contract laboratories to ensure quality execution.
• Collaborate with international laboratory partners to manage sample requirements, shipments, and project lifecycle timelines.
• Lead analytical investigations and manage deviations while ensuring strict adherence to GMP and safety regulations.
• Translate technical project needs into deliverables such as characterization and batch overview support within cross-functional teams.
• Communicate scientific findings and test results to global expert panels and product stakeholders.

• You have a PhD in analytical chemistry or pharmaceutical sciences, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• You possess strong project coordination skills, including the ability to manage external contract laboratories and track multiple project resources.
• You bring technical experience in developing chromatographic methods and handling complex analytical datasets.
• You're a proactive, creative fast learner with the capacity to work efficiently in a performance-driven global environment.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Practical experience with LC-HRMS, Triple Quadrupole MS, and specific expertise in nitrosamine determination.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations and regulatory frameworks such as ICH, EMA, and FDA.
• Active knowledge of Dutch.
