Data Analytics Engineer – Databricks & dbt

Our client, a prominent organization in the public sector, is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Engineer to support their digital transformation. The role involves managing the full data lifecycle within a modern data stack, from ingestion and modeling to workflow orchestration and performance optimization.

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines using Databricks and the medallion architecture.
• Develop SQL-based transformations and data quality tests using dbt to ensure data integrity across layers.
• Implement Kimball dimensional modeling to create business-ready star schemas for performance-driven querying.
• Build and manage complex dashboards and reporting solutions for executive levels using Power BI and DAX.
• Perform functional and technical analyses by interpreting API documentation and business requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to optimize data platform performance and governance.

• You have a Master's degree in a relevant field.
• You possess 5+ years of experience as a Data or BI Consultant working with enterprise-level data architectures.
• You bring advanced knowledge of data modeling and transformation using SQL, dbt, and Kimball methodologies.
• You're highly proficient in building reporting solutions with Power BI and DAX.
• You possess hands-on experience building data solutions on cloud platforms like Databricks.
• You have experience performing technical analyses and working with API documentation.
• You're a strong communicator capable of bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Nice to Haves

• Possession of certifications such as DP-600, dbt Developer, or Power BI Data Analytics Associate.
• Experience with monitoring or governance reporting.
• Previous experience working within public sector organizations.
