Expert Project Lead – Big Data & Governance

Our client, a leading organization in the transport and infrastructure sector, is seeking an experienced professional to manage and coordinate diverse data-driven initiatives. This role acts as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and robust project governance across the organization.

• Manage the cross-functional planning and prioritization of multiple big data projects while handling interdependencies.
• Implement and monitor project governance through specialized committees, performance reporting, and KPI tracking.
• Ensure project alignment with organizational ICT strategy, architectural standards, and data security requirements.
• Facilitate collaboration between data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to maximize value.
• Guide projects through the complete lifecycle from initial scoping and requirements analysis to delivery and production.
• Monitor project risks and budgets to ensure all milestones are achieved within the established timelines.
• Formalize functional and technical scopes while critically challenging business requirements.

• You have 8+ years of experience in IT project management and multi-project coordination.
• You bring 5+ years of experience managing complex projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• You possess 5+ years of experience in project governance, including the management of steering committees and KPI frameworks.
• You have 5+ years of experience in project scoping and managing functional and technical requirements.
• You're experienced with 5+ years using Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
• You have 2+ years of experience leading Big Data initiatives and ensuring data quality across the data lifecycle.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French with C1 level in one, B1 level in the other language, and B2 level in English.
