Senior AI Risk & Compliance Consultant – IT Governance & AI Act

Our client, a prominent organization in the insurance sector, is transitioning toward an AI-enabled IT model to enhance its operational capabilities. A Senior Consultant is needed to strengthen governance and manage risks associated with AI adoption while ensuring alignment with modern regulatory frameworks.

• Strengthen the ICT and AI risk management frameworks to support the organizational transformation.
• Lead comprehensive business risk assessments to identify operational, cyber, regulatory, and fraud risks.
• Define and monitor remediation and control strengthening plans in collaboration with technical stakeholders.
• Implement and improve AI governance structures to ensure alignment with emerging international standards.
• Advise technical teams on critical supplier management, exit strategies, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop executive dashboards and performance indicators for continuous risk and compliance monitoring.

• You possess 10+ years of experience in IT Risk, IT Governance, and Operational Risk and Compliance.
• You bring a proven track record in Audit, Internal Control, or Risk Management within the financial or insurance sector.
• You're knowledgeable about AI and Generative AI technologies, including risks related to LLMs and third-party services.
• You have extensive experience with regulatory frameworks such as AI Act, DORA, GDPR, and CRA.
• You possess deep knowledge of Cloud environments, outsourced services, and associated ICT risks.
• You have professional proficiency in the Microsoft suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• You're able to work effectively across Architecture, Cybersecurity, Data, and Digital teams.
• You are fluent in English with fluency in either Dutch or French.

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and inspections from the National Bank of Belgium.
