Cloud Infrastructure Architect – Azure & FinOps

Our client, a prominent organization in the energy sector, is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join their Cloud Center of Excellence. This role involves designing and building a secure, scalable, and reliable cloud foundation based on Azure while bridging the gap between governance and product teams.

• Design and build a secure, reliable, and scalable cloud foundation based on Azure.
• Implement cloud governance and establish policies using EPAC.
• Coordinate technical requirements across various projects in collaboration with product and application teams.
• Review and challenge infrastructure designs provided by external outsourcing partners and vendors.
• Develop cost allocation models and support product teams with budget management and cost insights.
• Manage cloud reservations and savings plans while investigating cost anomalies.
• Continuously improve services provided to internal clients through service integration.

• 5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Architect in large-scale environments with over 5,000 users.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure design and implementation.
• 5+ years of experience with Azure AD (Entra ID).
• 5+ years of experience with the Azure Governance Framework.
• 3+ years of experience with API Management.
• Experience with Azure Bicep for Infrastructure as Code.
• Functional knowledge of Azure FinOps.
• Experience with modeling techniques including Archimate, TOGAF, UML, and Sparx EA.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
• Strong communication skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English with C2 level proficiency.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Sparx EA.
• Experience within the Belgian energy sector.
• Possession of a FinOps certification.
• Broad infrastructure architecture experience in similar large-scale environments.
