Maritime Import Forwarder

Our client is a global organization specialized in sustainable materials and clean technology. This role focuses on ensuring service continuity within the logistics department by managing maritime import shipments for various business units.

• Manage maritime import files from start to finish for multiple internal business units.
• Collect and verify transport documentation including BL, invoices, and packing lists for accuracy.
• Coordinate with shipping lines to monitor terminal statuses, free time, and detention costs.
• Organize post-carriage transport and align storage or transshipment activities for containers and bulk goods.
• Ensure compliance with IMDG, ADR, and waste regulations for all incoming goods.
• Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders to ensure smooth operational flow.

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent qualification.
• You bring 1+ years of experience as an import forwarder or logistics professional.
• You possess 3+ years of experience in problem-solving within an operational environment.
• You're proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office applications including Teams and SharePoint.
• You are flexible, customer-oriented, and able to maintain structure under pressure.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with IDP10 transport software.
• Willingness to obtain knowledge of Incoterms, customs documentation, and hazardous goods regulations.
• Affinity with inland navigation logistics.
