Senior MS-SQL Database Administrator – Infrastructure & Data Continuity

Our client, a major organization focused on technical infrastructure, is seeking an experienced database specialist to join their systems and operations department. The role involves ensuring the continuity and stability of database environments while acting as a vital link between internal users and external service providers.

• Ensure the continuity and stability of database systems in close collaboration with infrastructure partners.
• Execute complex project activities related to database integration and modernization.
• Act as the technical intermediary between internal database users and external service providers.
• Perform database migrations and configurations to maintain high-performing system environments.
• Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard data integrity.
• Analyze and optimize database performance through advanced tuning and monitoring techniques.

• You have 8+ years of experience with relational databases.
• You bring 6+ years of expertise in MS-SQL High Availability and Disaster Recovery, including AlwaysOn and Microsoft Cluster technology.
• You possess 6+ years of experience with the SQL Server stack, specifically SSRS, SSIS, and database migrations.
• You have 6+ years of experience managing MS-SQL environments on Windows Server 2019 or higher, including Active Directory integration.
• You bring 3+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting for database automation.
• You possess 3+ years of experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Connection Encryption, and Windows PerfMon.
• You have a strong background in virtualization and database optimization using Query Store.
• You're experienced with ITSM tools such as JSM and working within ITIL frameworks.
• You are a proactive, stress-resistant team player with strong communication skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with MS-SQL on Azure (IaaS/PaaS).
• Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate or other database platforms like Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Linux (RedHat) operating systems.
• Experience using Visual Studio Database Projects.
• Knowledge of monitoring with Dynatrace or SCOM.
