System Architect – IaaS Compute & Storage

Our client, a leading organization in the financial sector, is looking for a System Architect to define and safeguard the end-to-end architecture of their on-premise infrastructure platforms. This role translates strategic direction and operational needs into clear architectural choices for compute and storage services that underpin critical banking workloads.

• Own the system architecture for infrastructure platforms, including virtualization, cluster design, SAN/NAS, and DRP constructs.
• Define and maintain architectural principles, guardrails, and standards aligned with enterprise and assurance expectations.
• Develop the architectural runway to enable upcoming platform capabilities while managing technical debt and lifecycle constraints.
• Guide and challenge solution designs proposed by teams, vendors, and integrators to ensure consistency across environments.
• Lead architectural decisions regarding availability, resilience, performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including product management and security, to ensure architectures are operationally sound and auditable.

• 5+ years of experience in system architecture focusing on IaaS compute and storage platforms.
• You bring professional expertise in storage and backup technologies such as NetApp, Cohesity, and Veritas NetBackup.
• You possess comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure components including virtualization, SAN/NAS, DRP, and High-Performance Computing (HPC).
• You have a deep understanding of Open Systems and infrastructure security.
• You're familiar with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• You have strong analytical mind and conceptual thinking skills.
• You are proactive and solution-oriented with strong stakeholder management abilities.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with large-scale datacenter renewal or automation initiatives.
• Knowledge of architectural governance forums and decision documentation.
