Cloud Technical Architect – Azure & Kubernetes

Our client is seeking a professional to lead their cloud infrastructure evolution and architectural governance. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and governing production-grade Kubernetes platforms across hybrid cloud and on-premise environments while ensuring operational excellence and financial efficiency.

• Lead the end-to-end application lifecycle for Kubernetes-based platforms, ensuring operational readiness, security, and compliance.
• Translate business and IT strategies into scalable, secure cloud architectures and standardized reference patterns.
• Evaluate and optimize the performance, reliability, and efficiency of the Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Conduct feasibility studies and impact analyses to support strategic decision-making for cloud and infrastructure changes.
• Embed FinOps principles into architectural decisions to drive cost transparency and sustainable cloud consumption.
• Provide expert-level technical guidance and mentorship to team members to promote best practices.
• Review and validate technical deliverables from external partners to ensure alignment with quality and architectural standards.

• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect on Microsoft Azure, focusing on designing and governing production-grade architectures.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments, covering both workloads and platform-level management.
• Proven experience operating and architecting hybrid workloads across public cloud and on-premise environments.
• Extensive experience defining and enforcing architecture standards and governance frameworks within enterprise settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to deliver governed cloud environments.
• Practical experience applying FinOps principles for cloud cost management and financial transparency.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the full application lifecycle, including capacity planning, security, and decommissioning.
• You possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• You bring strong technical leadership skills, including the ability to mentor others and perform quality assurance on partner deliverables.
• You are fluent in French and/or Dutch (C1) with a strong proficiency in English (C2).

Nice to Haves

• Possession of CISSP or risk-related certifications.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery setup and maturity assessment programs.
• A successful track record of implementing resilient architectures in similar environments.
