Senior SAP Basis Engineer – Cloud & Platform Infrastructure

Our client, a major organization in the transport sector, is looking for a senior expert to ensure the stability, availability, and security of their SAP landscapes. This role focuses on governing modern cloud environments and steering technical alignment between internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Manage the stability, integrity, and security of SAP landscapes including S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition and BTP.
• Coordinate technical alignment between internal teams, cloud providers, and implementation partners.
• Provide operational support and technical follow-up for platforms such as SAP ECC, SAP CRM, and SAP Solution Manager.
• Execute complex lifecycle activities including technical upgrades, patching cycles, and performance monitoring.
• Implement security hardening measures, certificate management, and secure connectivity protocols.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and facilitate knowledge transfer to support teams.
• Supervise offshore delivery partners to ensure quality of service and efficient task execution.

• 8+ years of professional experience in SAP Basis within complex enterprise environments.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience managing SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP, including Cloud Connector, Connectivity service, and Integration Suite.
• Experience working within SAP RISE or SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition (PCE) contexts.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, and SAP Cloud ALM.
• Technical proficiency in SAP Fiori, including SAP Gateway configuration and OData service management.
• Proven track record in SAP security hardening, SSO, and certificate management.
• Experience coordinating technical activities with offshore delivery teams.
• You possess strong analytical skills and take ownership of technical escalations and problem-solving.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French at C1 level with B2 level proficiency in the other language and English.

Nice to Haves

• In-depth knowledge of SAP BTP governance and tenant structures.
• Experience with SAP BTP role and authorization setup.
• Familiarity with SAP CRM or other legacy SAP environment management.
