AI Project Lead – Infrastructure & Emerging Technologies

Our client, a leading organization in the transport and infrastructure sector, is seeking an AI Project Lead to coordinate multiple intelligence-driven initiatives. This role focuses on establishing project governance, managing budgets, and aligning AI roadmaps with the broader ICT strategy. The selected candidate will oversee projects ranging from internal developments to cross-departmental collaborations.

• Coordinate multiple AI projects transversally by managing planning, prioritization, and critical dependencies.
• Establish and monitor project governance structures, including steering committees, reporting, and KPIs.
• Ensure alignment between AI initiatives and the overarching ICT strategy, architecture, and security standards.
• Facilitate collaboration between technical data science teams and business stakeholders to define project scopes and deliverables.
• Identify project risks and propose action plans to ensure budget adherence and deadline compliance.
• Promote industry best practices including Agile, MLOps, and standardized AI lifecycles.
• Analyze business requirements to structure AI use cases based on technical feasibility and expected ROI.

• You have 5+ years experience managing complex IT projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• You possess 5+ years in portfolio management and project governance, including reporting and KPI tracking.
• You bring 5+ years of experience in project scoping, requirements analysis, and functional specification.
• You have 5+ years using collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
• You possess 5+ years experience in planning, budget monitoring, risk management, and problem-solving.
• You bring 2+ years of experience leading Data or AI projects.
• You have 2+ years experience with the AI lifecycle, including data collection, training, and monitoring.
• You possess knowledge of data quality, bias detection, and AI governance principles.
• You're a proactive communicator with strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French (C1) with B1 level in the other language and B2 level in English.
