Senior Data Engineer – Cloud & Fabric Analytics

Our client, a major player in the financial services sector, is undergoing a digital and data-driven transformation. The project involves building and scaling a modern, cloud-native data platform to deliver robust analytics and reporting solutions across the organization.

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines within a cloud-native Microsoft Fabric architecture.
• Develop and manage DBT models with a focus on reusability, performance, and clear business logic.
• Take ownership of data modeling in silver and gold layers to support analytical use cases.
• Implement and monitor data quality checks within the DBT framework.
• Optimize existing pipelines and models to improve performance, stability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with data analysts on semantic models and the delivery of well-structured datasets for Power BI.
• Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and documentation within the data team.

• You have 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related data-centric roles.
• You possess advanced knowledge of data transformation utilizing DBT and SQL.
• You bring hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable modern cloud data platforms.
• You have a deep understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and medallion architectures.
• You're experienced in working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• You bring knowledge of version control and automated deployments using Git and CI/CD.
• You possess strong analytical skills with a focus on dimensional modeling and quality orientation.
• You are fluent in Dutch with very good knowledge of English.
