Senior Business Analyst – Aviation Logistics & Network Operations

Our client, a global leader in the logistics and aviation sector, is seeking an expert professional to join their network management division. This role focuses on optimizing complex transportation networks through detailed logical modeling and functional analysis to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

• Elicit and validate complex business requirements for aviation IT systems through direct collaboration with global stakeholders.
• Create detailed logical data models and business process models using BPMN to ensure structural clarity.
• Translate business needs into comprehensive, development-ready user stories and functional specifications.
• Conduct thorough research of existing systems and processes to identify optimization opportunities within the network.
• Act as the primary liaison between business partners, technical teams, and solution architects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in the design and review of functional system architecture and user interfaces to ensure operational effectiveness.

• You have 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within complex, large-scale environments.
• You possess expert-level proficiency in creating logical data models and utilizing structured analysis techniques.
• You bring advanced mastery of BPMN for business process modeling and workflow visualization.
• You have 5+ years of experience writing detailed user stories and functional specifications for development teams.
• You possess a profound understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts and strategic design.
• You bring proven experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies in cross-functional team settings.
• You have experience with technical requirements gathering, documentation, and validation processes.
• You're detail-oriented, proactive, and able to engage independently with senior stakeholders.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Active knowledge of Dutch.
• Prior experience in logistics or aviation IT systems such as flight operations or cargo management.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF or industry standards such as ARINC.
• Possession of a CBAP certification.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for international team collaboration.
