Project Manager Engineering & Automation

Our client, a leading life sciences organization, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee engineering and automation initiatives for process equipment. The role focuses on managing long-term planning and ensuring the delivery of GxP-compliant systems within a specialized production environment.

• Manage long-term project planning and portfolio management for the engineering department.
• Lead the design and implementation of GxP-compliant automation systems, including historian integration, PLC, and HMI.
• Oversee engineering projects from initiation through execution, ensuring adherence to standard principles.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to represent engineering interests and manage expectations.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
• Support knowledge management through gap analyses and the training of junior project personnel.
• Address complex technical challenges and mitigate risks to department priorities.

• Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience.
• You have 10+ years of relevant professional experience within the engineering or automation sector.
• You bring 5+ years of experience in project management or leadership roles.
• You possess a safety-first mindset and strong communication skills for explaining complex engineering concepts.
• You are fluent in English.
