QA Test Lead – Telecommunications & Digital Delivery

Our client, a major player in the telecommunications sector, is seeking an Initiative Test Lead to ensure quality standards across digital increments. This role focuses on high-level coordination and strategic test planning across multiple delivery teams rather than hands-on execution. The project involves embedding comprehensive QA strategies into specific initiative test plans within a large-scale enterprise environment.

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and initiative-specific test plans.
• Define test scope and objectives based on change impact and risk assessment in alignment with leadership.
• Facilitate and coordinate prerequisites for testing including test data, automation, and environments.
• Assign tasks to relevant teams, set priorities, and monitor overall progress.
• Manage test results and defects via dashboards and conduct reviews with key stakeholders.
• Act as a cross-functional coordinator managing relationships with internal leads and external partners.
• Highlight risks and propose improvements to ensure the overall quality of the project.

• You have 5+ years of experience in QA and testing roles within complex enterprise environments.
• You bring 2+ years of experience in a Test Lead or QA Lead capacity.
• You possess strong knowledge of test strategy, planning, and risk-based testing.
• You have experience with Jira, Xray, and Confluence for defect and dashboard management.
• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• You bring the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders in dynamic environments.
• You are proactive and structured with a constructive approach to challenging delivery teams.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Previous experience in the telecom industry.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and QA metrics.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks such as Playwright.
• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or Foundation level certification.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch.
