Description of the role/key areas of accountability:

Activities include:

• Setting up the qualification strategy for Reference Standards of Life-Cycle-Management products, supporting the commercial Janssen portfolio.
• Taking all actions needed in the re-qualification cycle of a Reference Standards
• Leads/ contributes to investigations concerning the assigned Reference Standards
• Contributes in assigned continuous improvement projects and ad hoc projects.
• Ensuring that all reference standards, are up to date and accurate following Good Manufacturing Practices (“GMP”) and Environment, Health & Safety (“EHS”) guidelines, regulations and standards.

The service will include protocol before qualification, certificates after qualification, reports related to Reference Standards, and contribution to continuous improvement and approved quality issues.

Qualifications

• Masters' degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry or related scientific field, with preferably relevant analytical experience Or Bachelor’s degree with relevant analytical experience.
• Technical knowledge of chromatography (LC, UPLC, GC, GC headspace and wet chemistry -titrations.
• Technical knowledge in spectrometric characterization techniques LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR.
• Good understanding of other analytical techniques such as specific optical rotation, TGA, DSC, IR, DVS,…
• High degree of flexibility, sense of urgency and priority setting.
• Self-motivated and independent.
• Proven problem-solving capacity.
• Able to handle several projects simultaneously.
• Team player embracing the concept of diversity and inclusion in a global network.
• Efficient communicator (both written and spoken) towards the involved parties as well as to management.
• Fluent English in both speaking and writing.
