ServiceNow ITOM & CMDB Specialist

Our client, a prominent organization in the transport sector, is looking for a ServiceNow ITOM & CMDB Specialist to join their digital services team. The role focuses on acting as the application owner for discovery implementations while translating business requirements into robust technical designs.

• Lead the application ownership of the ServiceNow ITOM Discovery implementation, including Service Mapping and Event Management.
• Translate complex requirements into user stories and technical designs for the CMDB and ITOM landscape.
• Execute implementations using best practices and out-of-the-box capabilities to maintain system quality.
• Configure and deploy ServiceNow MID servers and manage technical documentation for support hand-overs.
• Collaborate with Configuration Managers to identify and implement new features, such as datasource integrations.
• Create update sets and manage the necessary changes to support release cycles.
• Act as the third line of support for incidents and problems related to maintained applications.

• You have 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow CMDB and ITOM implementation and administration within enterprise environments.
• You bring expertise in implementing ServiceNow ITOM capabilities including Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management.
• You possess deep knowledge of the ServiceNow CSDM model and Digital Portfolio Management.
• You have hands-on experience with MID server configuration, IRE, Service Graph connectors, and datasource integrations.
• You're proficient in applying business rules, client scripts, UI policies, web services, and workflows.
• You possess an excellent understanding of ITIL and ITSM principles.
• You hold certifications as a ServiceNow Administrator, in CSDM-CMDB data foundations, and at least one CIS-ITOM Discovery.
• You have experience in requirements elicitation and the creation of detailed technical designs.
• You are proactive and possess strong documentation and verbal communication skills.
• You are fluent in English at level C.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with ServiceNow Reporting and CMDB Workspace.
• Familiarity with vendor product evolution follow-up.

• Start date: 01/10/2026.
• Duration: Until 30/06/2027.
• Work regime: Full-time (1 FTE).
• Location: Brussels.
• Working model: Hybrid (part-time onsite in Brussels).
• Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
