Network Specialist – Enterprise Connectivity & Security

Our client, a prominent public organization, is seeking an experienced network professional to support their large-scale IT environment. The project involves taking a key role in technical design, migration guidance, and the documentation of complex network transitions for over 1,600 users and multiple educational institutions.

• Execute technical designs and implementation for complex network migration trajectories.
• Manage and configure network infrastructure with a focus on high performance and security.
• Implement and maintain network segmentation strategies including VLAN-stretching and Fabric technologies.
• Oversee Network Access Control (NAC) systems to ensure secure environment connectivity.
• Optimize and standardize existing network landscapes to improve operational continuity.
• Create structured technical documentation to ensure effective knowledge transfer and retention.
• Provide guidance on Routing, Switching, and LAN/WAN protocols across various physical locations.

• You have 5+ years of experience as a network specialist within professional IT environments.
• You bring 3+ years of experience with Extreme Networks, specifically utilizing Fabric technologies.
• You possess strong expertise in Network Access Control (NAC).
• You have proven experience with network infrastructure management, including Cisco or Fortigate systems.
• You bring advanced knowledge of system administration and configuration related to modern networking technologies.
• You're experienced in managing Routing & Switching and LAN/WAN protocols.
• You have a background in network security implementation and management.
• You possess the ability to document technical processes clearly for knowledge sharing.
• You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Palo Alto security solutions.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies.
