Functional Analyst – Agile & Java

Our client, a key organization in the Belgian transport sector, is seeking a Functional Analyst to support real-time railway traffic applications. This role focuses on bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation within a long-term Agile project environment.

• Collect and formalize business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage the backlog and draft user stories.
• Coordinate functional testing and validate software deliveries with business stakeholders.
• Support development teams in understanding complex functional requirements.
• Analyze application incidents and prioritize necessary corrections.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and workshops to streamline project communication.

• 5+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst within a software development environment.
• 5+ years of practical experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including Jira Agile and Confluence.
• 5+ years of experience in incident analysis, solution follow-up, and bug prioritization.
• 2+ years of experience with containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• 2+ years of experience with SQL databases and Hazelcast.
• 2+ years of experience with Xray for test management.
• 2+ years of experience with TIBCO RDV (Rendezvous).
• 2+ years of experience with Java development tools.
• You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and are willing to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French (C2 level) with C1 level proficiency in the second national language and English.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Eclipse RCP or Angular frontends.
