Expert Business Analyst – Energy Data Sharing & Open Data

Our client, a leading energy distribution system operator, is looking for an expert to lead the industrialization of a data-sharing platform. This role involves defining the long-term strategic roadmap for open data initiatives and ensuring the seamless transition of specialized data services to operational teams.

• Lead the industrialization project for sharing data with third parties and managing open data flows.
• Define the long-term target vision and strategic positioning for future data evolutions.
• Determine business processes and clarify organizational structures for data governance.
• Define functional and technical requirements for tools supporting an industrialized data approach.
• Coordinate project activities and ensure the formal transfer of knowledge to operational teams.
• Analyze market needs to align the data roadmap with stakeholder requirements.

• You have 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with expert knowledge in requirement analysis.
• You bring 5+ years of experience within the Belgian energy sector, including specific experience working for a Distribution System Operator (DSO).
• You possess 2+ years of experience in a Team Lead or Project Coordination role, focusing on planning and tracking project activities.
• You have proven experience in data management, including the processing, manipulation, and reporting of large datasets.
• You bring a successful track record in the planning and implementation of new tools and business processes.
• You hold a Master’s degree or equivalent through experience.
• You're proactive and solution-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• You are thorough in English and French or Dutch, with a good knowledge of the second national language.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of MIG 6 standards.
• 2+ years of experience in data sharing with third parties.
• Experience working on Open Data projects.

• Start date: 01/06/2026
• Duration: 7 months (with a possible 12-month extension)
