Senior DevOps Engineer – Semantic Framework & Knowledge Graphs

Our client, a global leader in the agricultural sector, is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to support a specialized ontology management platform. This role focuses on deploying, operating, and maintaining a framework that enables the provision of semantified data and digital knowledge across a global digital infrastructure.

• Deploy, migrate, and maintain a central ontology management framework and its integration with diverse research and regulatory systems.
• Execute the migration of all repositories and associated pipelines from GitLab to GitHub.
• Design and implement security concepts to ensure the protection of internal and confidential data structures.
• Automate processes and workflows to optimize component operations and data synchronization with connected systems.
• Collaborate with semantic-web experts and developers within an agile product team to align the platform with business demands.
• Ensure stable platform operations and manage continuous maintenance activities across interconnected components.

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or a similar infrastructure-focused role.
• You possess strong expertise in cloud platforms with AWS.
• You have extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• You bring practical experience with CI/CD methodologies using both GitLab CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
• You have experience implementing scalable containerized solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• You possess experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• You have programming skills in Python and/or Java.
• You bring experience with identity and access management solutions like Keycloak.
• You are proactive, analytical, and possess excellent communication skills.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Azure.
• Familiarity with semantic web technologies like RDF, OWL, SPARQL, and Cypher.
• Experience with graph databases such as Virtuoso, Fuseki, or Neo4J.
