Technical Analyst – API & Microservices Architecture

Our client is seeking a Software Analyst to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution. The role involves translating complex business processes into clear, functional specifications and traceable solutions for business-critical applications.

• Translate business processes into feasible technical specifications and functional requirements.
• Design and document user stories with clear acceptance criteria while ensuring end-to-end traceability.
• Analyze and model data structures in alignment with architectural principles and development standards.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, developers, architects, and testing teams.
• Visualize complex system interactions and end-to-end processes using flows, UML, and sequence diagrams.
• Assess proposed technical solutions for feasibility, complexity, and potential risks within microservices environments.

• You have 7+ years of experience in the analysis of solutions within a microservice architecture.
• You bring 5+ years of experience as a functional analyst working on large, business-critical applications.
• You possess 3+ years of experience with API specifications using OpenAPI or Swagger.
• You have 3+ years of experience in data modeling, including ERDs, normalization, and information modeling.
• You bring 3+ years of experience applying Domain Driven Design (DDD) and bounded context principles.
• You possess 3+ years of experience with security basics including OAuth, authentication, and authorization.
• You're proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of resolving ambiguities through objective analysis.
• You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• 2+ years of experience with UML, specifically Class Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Activity Diagrams.
• 2+ years of experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Yogi.
• 2+ years of insight into software delivery, test processes, and DevSecOps environments.
• Experience collaborating with CI/CD, integration, and test teams.
• Knowledge of OO, multi-tier, and web-enabled design concepts.
