Legal Safety Coordinator Level A - Antwerp region

Our client is looking for a Legal Safety Coordinator for a large-scale industrial project. This role focuses on organizing the health and safety program during the construction phase while providing functional support to the management team.

• Coordinate the application of prevention hierarchy principles throughout the project execution phase.
• Update and maintain the safety and health plan, coordination file, and post-intervention dossier.
• Organize and lead contractor collaboration via structured coordination meetings on-site.
• Perform regular site walk-arounds to verify that works comply with legislation and project standards.
• Support construction and management teams in resolving complex HSSE matters.

• You have a Bachelor or Master's degree in mechanical, electromechanical, or chemical engineering or you have relevant experience in the field
• You have 5+ years of experience as a legal safety coordinator.
• You possess a mandatory Safety Coordinator Level A certificate and sound knowledge of Belgian HSSE legislation.
• You possess strong planning and organizational skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch with a good command of English.

Nice to Haves

• More than 10 years of experience in HSSE roles on major construction projects.
• Willingness to obtain VCA-VOL before the start date.
