Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Database Administrator to manage mission-critical data environments. The role focuses on designing, operating, and optimizing highly available and secure database services while driving automation within an Agile framework.
Responsabilités
- Design and manage high availability and disaster recovery patterns to meet RTO/RPO objectives.
- Perform advanced instance and SQL tuning, including performance diagnostics and optimizer behavior analysis.
- Execute major version upgrades, patching, and platform migrations with minimal downtime.
- Implement secure network configurations, encryption, and user management to meet regulatory requirements.
- Automate database infrastructure and lifecycle processes using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor environment health using Oracle Enterprise Manager and define comprehensive SLAs and runbooks.
- Mentor junior engineers on performance troubleshooting and operational best practices.
Exigences
- 8+ years of experience in database administration with a deep focus on Oracle 19c architecture and schema design.
- 5+ years of experience with High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and RMAN backup/restore strategies.
- 3+ years of experience in automation and scripting using Python and CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and DMS.
- Operational knowledge of multi-platform environments including PostgreSQL (v14/v17) and MongoDB (v5.0/v8.0).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code principles and Git for version control.
- Strong background in Agile and Scrum methodologies within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical tradeoffs to stakeholders and documenting post-mortems.
- You are fluent in English.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with Oracle ORDS, Apex, SQL Server, or Apache Airflow.
- Working knowledge of Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience using Jira for issue tracking and delivery coordination.
