Mainframe Analyst & Developer – Payroll & HR Systems

Our client, a leading provider of HR and payroll solutions, is seeking a hybrid professional to support their core processing engine. This role combines complex business logic analysis with technical development to ensure the evolution of critical payroll applications.

• Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into robust technical functional designs.
• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL within an IBM Mainframe environment.
• Perform technical designs for system modifications and legislative updates.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure releases meet specific business expectations.
• Execute comprehensive testing of developed code and document results clearly.
• Handle post-production incidents and queries in accordance with established standards.
• Ensure timely delivery of software requests following agreed procedures.

• 5+ years of experience in functional analysis within complex business environments.
• 5+ years of backend development with COBOL and IBM Mainframe (TSO, ISPF).
• Experience with DB2 and batch processing.
• You bring strong analytical skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• You are proactive and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• You are professionally proficient in Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with payroll engines or systems within the social secretariat sector.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
