Expert .NET Application Architect – Cloud & Microservices

Our client, a significant organization in the Belgian public sector, is looking for a senior professional to drive their architectural evolution. The role involves defining the application and integration architecture for the full modernization of a major business platform within a cloud-native environment.

• Define the application and integration architecture for the comprehensive rewrite of a critical business application.
• Guide the evolution of the IT system landscape towards a modern microservices architecture.
• Support development teams in delivering high-quality solutions aligned with product management objectives.
• Translate the architectural vision into actionable standards, models, and patterns for implementation.
• Foster co-creation as a servant leader to ensure broad support for architectural solutions.
• Bridge the gap between strategic C-level discussions and practical technical implementation with developers and testers.

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in application architecture focusing on .NET and microservices.
• 5+ years experience in an Agile environment using SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
• 5+ years of experience with Azure Cloud services, gRPC, Dapr, and Azure SQL.
• 1+ years with Domain Driven Design (DDD) and event-based architecture.
• 1+ years with NServiceBus or similar messaging technologies.
• 1+ years with container solutions such as ACA or AKS.
• You possess a Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• You are an autonomous team player and servant leader, comfortable communicating at both strategic C-levels and with technical teams.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French with active knowledge of English.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of the social status of self-employed professionals.
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
