Our client, a leading organization in the Belgian energy sector, is seeking a Data Steward to join their data governance team. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality, well-documented data and processes to support the ongoing energy transition and digital innovation.
Responsabilités
- Develop and maintain a business glossary for specific data domains to ensure consistent terminology usage across the organization.
- Define, document, and pro-actively monitor data quality rules and data lineage in collaboration with business analysts.
- Create monitoring reports and dashboards using PowerBI to guarantee the consistency of key data concepts.
- Identify root causes of data errors and propose curative or long-term solutions to business and IT stakeholders.
- Support the documentation of operational and technical information linked to metering data for internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for data inquiries within the metering and settlement domains.
- Contribute to the migration of data to a new quality management application and promote data-driven culture best practices.
Exigences
- You have 2+ years of experience in the electricity sector with a strong understanding of its underlying concepts.
- You bring proficiency in analytical tools including SQL, Python, and PowerBI.
- You possess a solid understanding of data governance principles, including data quality management and business glossary maintenance.
- You're able to tackle complex problems in a simple, structured manner using your analytical skills.
- You have experience facilitating workshops and taking a leadership role regarding data-related topics.
- You're proactive, hands-on, and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility within a team.
- You are fluent in English with active knowledge of Dutch and/or French.
Nice to Haves
- Previous experience specifically within metering and tariff settlement data domains.
- Knowledge of data migration processes and tools.
