Expert Functional Analyst – Railway Planning & Operations

Our client, a leading organization in the transportation and infrastructure sector, is seeking an Expert Functional Analyst to bridge the gap between business requirements and IT solutions. The project involves managing mission-critical applications for traffic planning and operational infrastructure in a 24/7 environment.

• Translate complex business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for development teams.
• Collaborate with Scrum teams to define technical solutions and validate functional choices.
• Support the Product Owner in prioritizing the backlog and refining user stories to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Define comprehensive test scenarios and coordinate functional testing to guarantee deliverable quality.
• Analyze incidents and propose corrective measures to maintain the stability of operational systems.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, IT, and operations while maintaining technical documentation.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide support for business-critical applications.

• You have 8+ years of experience in functional analysis within large-scale Agile and Scrum environments.
• You bring 8+ years of expertise in translating requirements into prioritized backlogs and detailed User Stories.
• You possess 8+ years of experience with modeling methodologies such as UML, ERD, and BPMN.
• You have 8+ years of experience managing business rules, acceptance criteria, and UAT.
• You're experienced with LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum) frameworks and Story Mapping techniques.
• You bring 5+ years of experience facilitating workshops and modeling processes using Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
• You possess 5+ years of technical experience with MySQL, Oracle, APIs, and Java architectures.
• You have 5+ years of experience in incident analysis, resolution tracking, and fix prioritization.
• You bring 8+ years of experience in stakeholder management and bridging the communication gap between business and IT.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French with a C2 level and have a C1 level of English.
