Progress OpenEdge Developer – Business Application Modernization

Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to maintain and extend business-critical applications within a hybrid development environment. The role focuses on modernizing core systems through ABL development and API-driven architectures.

• Develop and maintain applications using ABL.
• Design and optimize database access for OpenEdge DB.
• Build and expose APIs via OpenEdge Studio.
• Analyze and improve performance regarding queries, locking, and transactions.
• Coordinate integrations with internal and external systems.

• You have experience with Progress OpenEdge and ABL.
• You possess knowledge of Temp-tables, datasets, buffers, and PASOE.
• You bring expertise in OpenEdge database design and performance tuning.
• You have a solid understanding of transaction handling and locking mechanisms.
• You possess knowledge of building and exposing APIs.
• You're an analytical problem-solver with strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with .NET.
• Knowledge of Progress Developer Studio (PDSOE) or APIDOG.
