Telecom Engineer – Mobile Connectivity & M2M

Our client, a major organization in the utilities and infrastructure sector, is looking for a specialist to manage and optimize their mobile communication landscape. This role focuses on overseeing advanced wireless technologies and supporting critical infrastructure projects where mobile connectivity plays a vital role.

• Manage and optimize mobile telecom services including 2G, 4G, 5G, NB-IoT, and LTE-M.
• Administer APN environments, SIM cards, and M2M platforms.
• Support OT and IT projects where wireless communication is a crucial component.
• Perform technical follow-up with telecom operators to ensure service delivery and quality.
• Develop technical standards, architecture principles, and policies for mobile connectivity.
• Identify emerging technologies and market developments to drive modernization.

• 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator in ICT infrastructure environments.
• 3+ years of experience managing mobile telecom services and APN environments.
• You possess experience at a system engineer level with Unix, Linux, or Windows systems.
• You bring experience in managing M2M platforms and SIM cards.
• You have experience in the technical follow-up of telecom operators.
• You possess a BA4 or BA5 competency certificate.
• You are a Native speaker of Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with 4G and 5G connectivity.
• Experience setting technical standards for mobile connectivity.
• Practical knowledge of mobile connectivity in OT environments.
• Experience providing technical advice on connectivity solutions.
• Willingness to obtain a BA4 or BA5 certificate.
