Our client, a public sector organization, is looking for a backend specialist to join the core team of a centralized citizen portal. The project focuses on aggregating citizen data from various sources to provide a secure and optimized user experience across web and mobile platforms.
Responsabilités
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Ensure technical integrity, security, and performance of aggregated citizen data.
- Apply best practices including TDD, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and microservices architecture.
- Develop and optimize REST APIs to facilitate data delivery to web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with architects to align technical components with the overarching system architecture.
- Lead development cycles, including coding, testing, and debugging to ensure robust releases.
- Automate deployments and monitoring through CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
Exigences
- 5+ years backend development with Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot.
- 5+ years with Spring Data, Spring Security, and Maven.
- 3+ years experience with microservices architecture.
- 3+ years experience with Hibernate, JPA, or SQL.
- 1+ years experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- You have experience leading a development team and coaching other developers.
- You possess a strong background in Agile development methodologies.
- You're proactive, analytical, and a communicative team player.
- You are fluent in Dutch with C2 level.
Nice to Haves
- 3+ years experience with Docker, OAuth2, and SOAP.
- 1+ years experience with AWS.
- Knowledge of Node.js and mobile application development.
- Experience with testing tools such as JMeter, JUnit, AssertJ, Postman, or Newman.

- Working model: Hybrid (min 2 days onsite in Brussels including fixed Wednesdays, occasionally in Ghent)
